The Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) is an independent body that resolves disputes between consumers and financial service providers, such as banks and insurers, for eligible claims. It offers a route to a decision without going to court, though it operates within set eligibility rules and claim limits.
When it matters
If your bank has not resolved a scam-related dispute to your satisfaction, for example over how a bank recall request was handled, the OFS may be able to review it, usually after you have first raised it with your bank and, if needed, BNMTELELINK.
